Maui Wedding Venue

Gather on Maui is a restaurant and also one of the best Maui wedding venues.  It’s amazing for couples who are looking for a beautiful South Maui wedding location that feels tropical, private, and relaxed without the luxury resort pricing. Located just minutes from the beaches of Wailea, Gather offers lush greenery among the golf course, beautiful sunset light, a remodeled interior, and an intimate atmosphere that feels tucked away from the busy tourist area of Wailea.

I’ve photographed many weddings at Gather over the years, and it’s always one of my favorite Maui wedding venues for couples wanting something beautiful, affordable, and easy for guests. The Lower  Lawn feels surprisingly secluded and private from the main restaurant, even though it’s right next to the driveway, it doesn’t feel like it and there is very minimal cars driving by.  It also has an epic view of the ocean and Molokini crater in the background.  Molokini Lookout is one of my favorite ceremony sites, as it’s completely private and removed from any buildings or roads, it sits on the upper end of the golf course with incredible ocean and mountain views.  

One of the things I love most about weddings at Gather is the sunset light. Even if you don’t leave for beach portraits, the property itself becomes incredibly beautiful at golden hour, with soft light filtering through the trees and across the lawn.

Gather on Maui is located in South Maui in Wailea, just a few minutes from some of the island’s most beautiful beaches and luxury resorts. It’s tucked along Wailea Ike Drive, making it an incredibly convenient and central location for destination weddings on Maui.

Gather on Maui is considered one of the more affordable wedding venues on Maui, especially compared to many Wailea resort venues and other private venues. Pricing varies depending on guest count, food and beverage minimums, and whether or not you choose a full restaurant buyout.

3. Is a wedding planner required?

Most wedding venues, including Gather, recommend hiring a professional wedding planner, but you are not required to have one at Gather.

4. What is the weather like?

The weather at Gather is typically some of the best on Maui. Located on the sunny south side near Wailea, the area is known for warm temperatures, lower rainfall, and beautiful sunsets year-round.

5. Is it conveniently located?

Yes, Gather is conveniently located in South Maui just minutes from Wailea resorts, hotels, and vacation rentals. It’s a very easy venue for guests staying in Wailea or Kihei to access. Lahaina and Kapalua are about an hour or more away depending on traffic.

6. What is included?

Gather offers ceremony and reception spaces, an updated bridal getting ready area (locker room), on-site catering from the restaurant, bar service, and multiple ceremony location options throughout the property.

7. Is there guest parking?

Yes, guest parking is available on property, which makes the venue very convenient for weddings and events.
