The following wedding officiants and ministers are all locally based on Maui and experienced in performing a beautiful and meaningful wedding ceremony. Most of them will offer a “Hawaiian” style ceremony which means that in addition to the customary traditions such as the ring exchange and vows they will include some elements which are part of the traditional Hawaiian marriage ceremony. They will blow the “conch” shell, often three times, to begin the ceremony, say an “oli” or welcome chant, include a bride and groom lei exchange (sometimes guests too), and conclude with another blowing of the conch shell. Most of the officiants will offer an option of religious or non-religious, spiritual, and some will do a fully custom script. They will all also do vow renewals. Ask to see a sample of their script to get an idea of how it will go, check out their Instagram, websites, and possibly find them on You Tube to see more.
